Lightweight Insulating Bricks
Low-density shaped refractory bricks for furnace insulation layers, backup linings, and lightweight lining structures.
Lightweight Insulating Brick
Lightweight insulating bricks are shaped refractory products characterized by low bulk density and good insulation performance. They are commonly used as insulation layers, backup linings, or lightweight lining structures in high-temperature equipment. Compared with dense refractory bricks, lightweight insulating bricks offer lower weight, lower thermal conductivity, and lower heat capacity, helping reduce furnace heat storage and shell heat loss.
These bricks provide a practical shaped solution for furnace structures that require both thermal insulation and convenient masonry installation. Their low density helps reduce lining weight, while their low heat capacity supports faster heat-up and lower stored heat.
According to raw material systems and service temperature requirements, lightweight insulating bricks can include lightweight mullite bricks, high-alumina insulating bricks, lightweight fireclay bricks, and alumina bubble bricks. Different products vary in refractoriness, strength, bulk density, thermal conductivity, and high-temperature stability, allowing selection according to lining structure and insulation requirements.
