Industrial Hazardous Waste Side-Blown Furnace

The feed materials for fuming furnaces come from complex sources and are often intermittent and unstable. Their composition fluctuates significantly, the overall precious metal grade is relatively low, and the amount of smelting slag produced is large. As a result, the furnace lining is exposed to multiple combined corrosive effects, and the damage mechanisms are complex and variable.

The refractory lining should therefore be selected through a comprehensive evaluation of the actual operating conditions, slag system, and working temperature.

Fuming furnace refractory linings are mainly based on two material systems: magnesia-chrome bricks and alumina-chrome bricks. The tuyere area, slag line, metal tap hole, and slag tap hole are key high-wear zones. Compared with other furnace areas, the refractory material grade for these zones should be upgraded by one level.
