Description
Magnesia Checker Brick is an alkaline refractory brick primarily made from high-purity sintered magnesia or fused magnesia, with MgO content typically ranging from 92% to 97%. It is produced through high-temperature sintering or chemical bonding processes and is characterized by its unique checker (grid or lattice) structure featuring multiple channels and holes.
This brick offers excellent high-temperature resistance, superior thermal storage capacity, strong resistance to alkaline slags and vapors, as well as good volume stability under alternating oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. Thanks to its large specific surface area and efficient heat exchange performance, Magnesia Checker Brick is widely used as the core material in the regenerator (checker chamber) of glass melting furnaces for heat recovery and air preheating. It is also applied in other high-temperature industrial furnaces that require efficient thermal regeneration, such as hot blast stoves.
