The National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology and other departments jointly issued the “Green Technology Promotion Catalog (2024 Edition)” (hereinafter referred to as the “Catalog”), and required to increase the promotion and application of technology and strengthen the technical support for the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.
Efficient reduction of “3R” hydrocarbon blast furnace technology, long-life carbon dioxide bottom blowing steelmaking technology, large-scale steelmaking converter primary flue gas ultra-clean emission equipment system and application, paint-free weathering steel suspension bridge and other steel industry related technologies were selected.

The “Catalog” selected 112 advanced green technologies in seven major industries, including energy-saving and carbon reduction industries, environmental protection industries, resource recycling industries, energy green and low-carbon transformation, ecological protection and restoration and utilization, infrastructure green upgrades, and green services, and listed the process technology content, main technical parameters, actual application cases, ecological benefits, etc. of each technology.
All relevant enterprises can understand the main principles, path directions, application scenarios and implementation effects of relevant technologies based on this “Catalog”, and promote and apply them in combination with their own actual conditions.

The application scope of technologies in the Catalogue involves key industries such as steel, petrochemicals, chemicals, nonferrous metals, building materials, construction, transportation, and new energy. It is systematic, comprehensive, and covers a wide range of areas, which is conducive to promoting the green transformation of traditional industries and cultivating and developing green new quality productivity.
The National Development and Reform Commission stated that financial institutions are encouraged to strengthen financing support for the application of green technologies in the Catalogue through green credit, green bonds, and carbon emission reduction support tools.
