Several common recyclable refractory waste material

Brown corundum waste recycled from iron trough

Brown corundum waste:

Source: Mainly recycled from alumina silicon carbide castable waste in the main iron trough. Brown corundum particles are extracted through a special process, with alumina content between 85% and 90%, bulk density between 3.6g/cm³ and 3.7g/cm³.

Application: It can replace homogenized bauxite, being used to make torpedo tank refractory bricks and iron trough castables.

White corundum waste

White corundum waste:

Source: Mainly recycled from waste materials such as carbon-free corundum bricks, corundum Saddle bricks and corundum castables. White corundum and tabular corundum particles are extracted through special processes, with the alumina content between 80% and 90%, bulk density about 3.5g/cm³.

Application: It can replace white corundum raw materials and is used for corundum castables.

Slide plate pellet waste

Slide plate pellet waste:

Source: Mainly recycled from slide plates on ladles and converters, processed into pellets after removing impurities such as iron, with an alumina content of 70%-75%.

Application: Can replace bauxite and be used to produce anhydrous taphole mud.

Waste stopper rod pellets

Waste stopper rod pellets:

Source: Mainly recycled from stopper rods on the tundish, which are processed into pellets after removing impurities such as iron, with an alumina content of 70%-75%.

Application: Can replace bauxite to produce anhydrous taphole mud.
